Residents(Residence), 2016, I-Park, Connecticut

Marginal Wood Fern, wire mesh, jute, soil, leaf mulch

Collaborative environmental art project with the American Landscape Architect Dorothy Bothwell

We were brought together on a month-long residency in the iPark, Connecticut, USA. Alongside our solo work there we collaborated on this concept, an incubator to nourish and protect reintroduced native beneficial plants.  As the organic matter in the column form breaks down, the plants take over and begin to colonise the site, improving biodiversity, leaving a ghostly metal skeletal remnant of the intervention
