Circle of meadow orchids planted within a wildflower meadow

Developed with input from Dr Sheena McKendrick and her work on the cultivation and introduction of native species of orchid. Beyond and alongside rewilding is the idea of habitat improvement and the reintroduction of rare or beneficial species to a habitat. When planted in a block these species have their best chance to establish and spread, creating a long-term yet temporary installation. Over time the plants in the single species blocks will spread and integrate into the meadow as a whole. This scheme was devised for well established meadowland in Shropshire
